MCA Urban Sports and Health Park

The MCA Urban Sports and Health Park reimagines the stadium complex as a vibrant civic landmark—where sport, wellness, and community life converge within the urban fabric. Though rooted in Pune, the project aspires to match global standards in design and experience. More than a venue for sports, the complex is envisioned as a catalyst for health, urban vitality, and social interaction. It promotes inclusivity, accessibility, and movement, serving both MCA members and the wider public. The design integrates fitness with civic life, transforming architecture into a medium for community engagement. The built form emerges naturally from its context, preserving key views and blending seamlessly with the landscape. It aims to dissolve boundaries between site and surroundings, extending the public realm both horizontally and vertically to enrich spatial experience. Inspired by Shivaji Maharaj’s tactical sensibilities, the design encourages exploration, with layered spaces revealed through movement, shadow, greenery, and changing perspectives. Grounded in local culture and ecology, the park evolves with the seasons, using regional materials and planting to create a dynamic, sensory journey. This landmark is not just a sports facility—it’s a 21st-century urban typology that celebrates wellness, community, and the spirit of discovery through design.
