Tapi installation is a temporary screen that defines and transforms a public space into a space of performance. Situated within the radial configuration occupying a segment of the amphitheater; it serves as a dual purpose of a welcoming entrance as well as a surface for exhibiting work within a large plaza.
The installation employs the use of bamboo splits to create a tactile and artistic expression while the incorporation of jute fabrics that gives an earthy character to the enclosure.
Employing a modular system within the radial grid allows for seamless transformation into triangular configurations, enhancing the structural integrity and stability of the structure.
The inclined members at the top draws inspiration from the profile of the staircase adorning the campus’s existing building, thus establishing a visual continuity between the installation and its architectural surroundings.
